Hey! I'm Jas, CEO and founder of Distressed by Jas.

I'm a mom, daughter and an HBCU alumni (Go Rattlers) from the beautiful city of Miami, FL! 

After studying Healthcare Management in college, I worked full time but desired a more creative lifestyle. My love for thrifting, creating and design led me to some of the best vintage denim while sourcing apartment decor. I collected a few pair of Levi's, Lee, and Calvin Klein denim (100% cotton) hand distressed each pair then started selling my designs on FAMU and FSU's college campuses. My niche for finding the best fit for the girls had then blossomed into a full-time side hustle. 

I was introduced to thrifting as a way of life by my grandmother! I loved going into Goodwill stores with her when I was younger just to wander around the store playing make believe with all the hidden gems. I believed that I could be whoever I wanted to when I was there. 

Our one-of-a-kind denim experience provides the same feels and vibes for our clientele. Distressed By Jas denim is inspired by high vibrational lifestyles and experiences and people who love quality, timeless, functional fun pieces that are essential to the wardrobe.
